The Smithfield Figure Skating Club is a non profit organization that was formed by a group of local skaters in 1976, and two years later became a member of the United States Figure Skating Association, the national governing body for figure skating. SFSC offers skaters (3 years old through adult) skating instruction and off ice conditioning sessions. Programs run year-round at the Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink. SFSC offers sessions in basic skills, moves in the field, freestyle, power/edge and ice dance. Off ice sessions are also offered in dance and conditioning.
